School is almost out!!

I am getting excited for the new classes, locations, and times for classes.

The additional classes will be held at Dance Source Studio in North Logan behind the brown Matress store and behind Carpets America 2300 North Suite E.

I will probably also teach earlier classes at the Richmond City building and hoping to start at 10 am. I hope to do one ZUMBA Gold at that time and also maybe a regular ZUMBA class. If those classes are a hit I could possibly add more.

At Dance Source the classes will be ZUMBA SENTAO and ZUMBA TONING, too many regular ZUMBA classes to compete with for students. As far as I have research I will be teaching the only  ZUMBA SENTAO and ZUMBA TONING classes in cache Valley I have only found one in Brigham city. Right now ZUMBA SENTAO is my favorite and hopefully it will also be yours.
ZUMBA SENTAO will likely be held in Sessions and will be one flat fee since space will be limited based on availablity of chairs for participants. Price is not yet decided.

I am also super stoked to add ZUMBA GOLD. It is less intense and simplified for the beginner or active older adult but still has all the fun of regular ZUMBA and trust me you will still be sweating.  Helps keep those muscle moving and increase balance and coordination. If you are unsure about starting ZUMBA this would be a great class to come and try out, anyone is welcome.

Make sure you bring water and a towel with you to class. Its very important to stay hydrated before and during class, water is the best choice.

Remember to listen to you body and keep the intensity down if it is too much for your body. It may take time to gradually increase the intensity of certain moves or routines and remember this is okay and perfectly normal. Gradually increasing intensity will help reduces chances of injury. I do give instructions that will be more basic and an option for kicking it up a notch if that is what you choose.

ZUMBA is a dance fitness class and is suppose to be FUN. No dance experience is required to attend class. Depending on your intensity you can burn anywhere from 600 to 1000+ calories in the one hour class. This class is fun and exciting and you will move in different ways that you never thought before. We dance salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton, belly dancing, hip hop and many more. *Even though just about anyone can do ZUMBA it is best to consult with your physician before starting a new exercise program of any kind. I hope that if you have never come to my class or any ZUMBA class that you will give it a try. It will take a couple of classes to get use to the feel of how routines are done and I will gladly go over any moves that you might need extra help with. **Just be warned that ZUMBA may be addicting and could be very hard to stop. You may find yourself practicing routines in your house or even driving in your car and as far as I am aware there is no cure for Zumbaholics! Good Luck!

Intro about me:
I live in Richmond and a mother of five wonderful children. I grew up in South Carolina but have lived in Utah since 2000 and love it here. I really love livng in Richmond and the wonderful people that surround me. I have been teaching Zumba since April 2012. I feel in love immediately and shortly after discovering ZUMBA decided I want to share my love for it and thought no better way than to teach in Richmond where we dont have much around us. I do not have previous dance experience but have learned practice makes perfect and even I make mistakes and it is okay. I am very open to suggestion about teaching or music etc. I hope everyone feels comfortable talking to me about any concerns that they have. I love my ZUMBA family. Zumba has so many benefits for your health and it is amazing and I hope you decide to be part of the My ADDICTION!

ZUMBA TONING

I think it will be best to start with the 1 lb weight and see how that works for you individually and if you want more resistance then move up to the 2.5 lb.

Go to www.zumba.com to check them out for yourself.

"Filled with sand to allow more “give” than traditional hand weights, these maraca-like sticks are also musically charged dumbbells that let your class shake and rattle to the rhythms while you guide them to a more defined, more sculpted body!"
